Installation

All of these instructions are meant for a Windows operating system. For Apples, I'm not sure how it works. I'm assuming it's the same?

For Winamp Skins

Download the zip file of the skin into a folder called "Skins" in the "Winamp" folder of Program Files or whichever folder you installed Winamp in. If you have a newer version of winamp, you shouldn't have to unzip the skin. Open winamp. Click on the button in the top left hand corner of the winamp window. Move your mouse down to "Skins." A section should pop up, showing all the the names of the zip files in the "Skins" folder. If you do not see any files, you need to go back into the "Skins" folder and unzip the zip file into its own personal folder (which will be in the Skins folder. For example, the address of a skin would be Program Files\Winamp\Skins\malice01). Your skin should now work.

For Desktops

Click on the thumbnail of the desktop. When the full-size image loads, right click and click "Save Picture As." Once you have saved the picture in the folder of your choosing, minimize anything you have on your screen. When everything is minimized, right click on the screen and choose "Properties." Click "Browse." Find the image you saved.

For Desktop Icons

Download the zip file into the folder of your choosing. Unzip the file. Right click on the screen and go to "Properties." At the top of the screen that pops up, click "Effects." You will see a box that shows all of the icons on your desktop. Click on one, and click on "Change Icon." Click "Browse" and find the icon you would like to use. Repeat for all other items.

For Icons

Follow the instructions of whatever program/website you are using them on (LiveJournal, a forum, etc.). Do NOT direct link.
