Intro

   Hello, I'm Amanda, and this is my domain, alassea.net. You may recognize me as the owner of haruka.nu. That was my first domain, but I've since changed interests, and was getting tired of people asking me why I didn't have any anime content on my site, so I've moved here! alassea.net is meant to be a personal domain, fit for all types of content.

Name

   The word "alassea" comes from Neo-Quenya, which is a language derived from Tolkien's original Quenya, or high elven, with gaps filled in by modern Tolkien linguistics fans. It translates to "joyful," and is fitting, as I am joyful, most of the time, anyways (although I chose the name mainly because the word was beautiful). Learning my lesson from the last domain experience, this time around I decided to choose something that couldn't be pinned into any specific genre. Although "alassea" is indeed elvish, and therefore related to the works of Tolkien, most people are not familiar with elvish, and by itself, "alassea" is simply a nice word. So this domain should do well as my interests expand and change over time (although hopefully, for once, they'll stay in place for awhile!).
